About Addie's Creative Fabrics

Addie's has a new owner and a new name.

It's a pleasure to introduce Janet Byl (center in the photo above), who as of March 7, 2008 is now the new owner of "Addie's Creative Fabrics Ltd". A lifelong love of sewing and beautiful fabrics makes owning this delightful shop a dream come true for her. She brings enthusiasm, energy and a dynamic personality to the store.

Janet has been sewing since she was six years old, and quilting for ten years. The familiar thread throughout her life has been sewing. The need to be creative is foremost in everything she does.

Her hope for the store is to provide an exciting variety of fabrics, yarns, patterns and notions to get your creative juices flowing. Her invitation is to come venture into the new world of creativity by putting your unique stamp on the age-old traditions of quilting and knitting.

Addie's offers on-going demos and classes in their well-equipped classroom.

Addie's has been joined by Saffron, owned and operated by Janet's daughter Tara Torr. Saffron offers an eclectic collection of artisan goods, including paintings, pottery, blown glass, hand-made jewellry, clothing, handbags, and more.

Addie's has also been joined by Saffron Pottery Studios, a fully functioning pottery studio run by Janet's daughter, Nicole Byl.

So as you can see, Addie's really is a one-stop-shop!
