Learn to create your own jellyroll rug. You are limited only by your imagination. 2-1/2 in batting strips are covered with jelly roll strips and are then sewn together to create a gorgeous rug. You can make your rug any shape or size you desire. Supplies for class- 40-42 strips (2.5 in), 1.25m of batting . Batting seam tape. Size 14-18 Jeans needle, thread. Walking foot for your machine, extension table and chopstick or purchase one of the Clover Fabric Tube Maker. Pattern purchase required. Best press strongly advised. M-Chr01: Christmas Club- January-March: Snowman applique, Homespun square wall hanging/lap quilt, Fancy Holly Table runner.
This group meets on the third Sunday of the month (adjusted for holidays) to work on stitching projects with a Christmas theme. The club will run for the entire year, and is organized into 4 sessions (Jan-March, April-June, July-Sept, Oct-Dec). Participants will learn a variety of stitching and quilting techniques in each class. Each project will be available as a kit, and patterns must be purchased- either for the entire year, or at each class. The January18th project: "Visions of snowmen is an applique project that can be completed as a quilt (approx. 67"*90") or a table runner (approx. 36"*15"). February's project(Feb 22) includes three pieced blocks and can be completed as a 36" or 60" square wall hanging or quilt. March 15 project, called Fancy Holly Table Runner is approximately 33"* 15", and combines a variety of piecing, applique and border techniques.
