Sunday Morning Quilt
So many modern quilt fabrics are bold: saturated colours, cutesy images or interesting graphics. They all pair well with whites or neutrals. But hidden among the bold and brights are what are often called low-volume fabrics. These have predominantly white, light or neutral backgrounds with interesting designs. Your fabric choices will make this a bold or soft quilt. With low-volume fabrics the overall effect is somewhat ethereal.

| Skill Details: | Students must be familiar with their sewing machines including winding a bobbin, threading the machine, adjusting stitch length and width, troubleshooting tension issues and changing presser feet. |
| Requirements: | Sunday Morning Quilts (book) by Cheryl Arkison and Amanda Jean Nyberg Scraps: 450 strips approximately 1" - 3" x 8.5" AND 72 strips approximately 3" x 11" If you are more comfortable with precision piecing, cut horizontal strips 2 1/2" x 8 1/2" and vertical strips 3" x 11". |

| Instructor Bio: | Samantha took up quilting in 2003 and has been teaching classes since 2010. Her grandfather, a tailor, influenced her love of sewing. Samantha began with hand quilting and then switched to machine piecing and long-arming. She started a custom quilting and long-arming business in 2018 called Pincushion Productions. She loves gadgets that make quilting more accurate and efficient. Her mother, a mathematician, instilled Samantha's love of math which she uses in designing blocks, borders, quilts and other projects. Now a talented and accomplished quilter and pattern writer, Samantha loves creating with fabric, colours and textures.
